Pre-Treatment
Assessment

At Belsanté, your safety is always our absolute priority.

Before you have any treatment with us for the first time, we will always consult with you first, and carry out a preliminary assessment to ensure that we can treat you safely.

This is because many treatments and procedures use techniques, equipment or ingredients that may be unsuitable for persons with certain skin conditions, medical conditions, allergies, or other issues and concerns.

For certain treatments, a more detailed consultation is needed. This consultation is known as a Pre-Treatment Assessment (PTA), and is required for the following treatments and procedures:

During your PTA, your Electrologist or technician will:

  • discuss your current and recent state of health, and ask about any medications you may be taking, as certain medications may affect the health of your skin, and its ability to heal after treatment
  • visually assess the condition and health of your skin around the area to be treated
  • explain the treatment process to you, including how it works, and the kind of results you can expect from it
  • explain any post-treatment aftercare requirements that you will need to follow, to help your skin heal and keep it protected
  • answer any questions you may have about the treatment or aftercare, to ensure that you have all the information that you require

We will only proceed with your treatment if we are satisfied that it can be carried out safely. It is essential that the information you provide to us is complete and accurate, so that we can protect your skin and your health.

Please be assured that any and all personal information that you share with us is always treated in the very strictest confidence.

Your PTA will take around 10-15 minutes, and is free of charge.

Clinical skincare
Please note that if you are having a treatment or procedure from our clinical skincare collection (with the exception of Microblading or Lip Blush), you will need a specialist consultation known as a Clinical Skincare Assessment.
